Microsoft is expanding its Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 line-up outside the US and Canada today. Both devices are now available with 1TB of storage, an Intel Core i7 processor, and 16GB of RAM in Australia, Austria, China, France, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Switzerland, and the UK. Microsoft’s online stores will sell the new models, and Germany and Japan will start receiving them later in July.
Microsoft’s top Surface Book is priced at £2,649 in the UK ($3,199 in the US), and the 1TB Surface Pro 4 debuts at £2,199 ($2,699 in the US). Microsoft is also planning to bring the 1TB Surface Pro 4 model to Belgium, Ireland, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands later this summer. Microsoft first launched the Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 at a special press event in October last year. Most rumors have suggested that new Surface devices won’t arrive until next year, and Microsoft’s late international expansion for these top models seems to suggest we won’t be seeing any refreshed hardware later this year.
